TOKYO, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei fell 0.3 percent in choppy trade on Monday, taking its cues from the currency markets ahead of a Bank of Japan policy decision the next day with the market expecting further easing, albeit a minor move.
The benchmark Nikkei eased 23.17 points to 9,381.06, while the broader Topix fell 7.23 points, or 0.9 percent, to 822.74. (By Aiko Hayashi and Chikafumi Hodo)
