(Reuters) -Vice Media on Monday named co-chief executive officers to replace veteran television executive Nancy Dubuc who announced her departure last week.

Chief Financial Officer Bruce Dixon and Chief Strategy Officer Hozefa Lokhandwala will helm the top role together, said the digital media firm, which appointed a special board committee last year to restart its sale process.

Lokhandwala has been the strategy chief since October 2018, while Dixon took the role of finance head in 2021.

Dubuc announced her departure on Friday after five years in a role that was charged with improving finances and addressing issues with workplace culture.

She succeeded Vice co-founder Shane Smith, who resigned as CEO following a New York Times investigation of its workplace culture.

Before Vice Media, Dubuc was the top boss at A+E Networks where she oversaw a portfolio of networks that included A&E Network and Lifetime, and its studios and films unit, in her 20 years at the company.
