NEW YORK, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Major U.S. stock market indexes fell more than 1 percent on Monday, weighed by materials shares amid ongoing worries about Europe's ability to contain a credit crisis.
* The S&P 500 also traded below its 50-day moving average for the first time since early September.
* The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 152.73 points, or 1.38 percent, to 10,939.27. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 14.51 points, or 1.22 percent, to 1,174.89. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 33.60 points, or 1.33 percent, to 2,500.96.
