NEW YORK, Jan 26 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks rose slightly at the open on Wednesday, the day after U.S. President Barack Obama called for a lower corporate tax rate to boost the economy, but gains in the Dow were limited after results from Boeing.
The Dow Jones industrial average dipped 0.87 points, or 0.01 percent, to 11,976.32. The S&P 500 rose 2.74 points, or 0.21 percent, to 1,293.92. The Nasdaq Composite gained 6.10 points, or 0.22 percent, to 2,725.35.
