NEW YORK, Nov 24 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks rose at the open on Wednesday after data on the labor market and consumer spending pointed to an improving economy.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 87.60 points, or 0.79 percent, at 11,123.97. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index added 10.12 points, or 0.86 percent, at 1,190.85. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 30.71 points, or 1.23 percent, at 2,525.66.
