NEW YORK, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Wall Street rose at the open on Thursday, boosted by a lower dollar and data showing new jobless claims fell to their lowest level in three months.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 39.51 points, or 0.36 percent, to 11,165.79. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 5.67 points, or 0.48 percent, to 1,188.12. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 8.38 points, or 0.33 percent, to 2,511.64.
