NEW YORK, Dec 9 (Reuters) - Wall Street opened higher on Thursday after an upbeat report on jobless claims and as Treasuries steadied after a recent jump in yields.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 31.18 points, or 0.27 percent, at 11,403.66. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 5.69 points, or 0.46 percent, at 1,233.97. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 13.21 points, or 0.51 percent, at 2,622.37.
