NEW YORK, Nov 1 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks opened higher on Monday as strong Chinese factory data prompted investors to head for more risky assets.
The Dow Jones industrial average jumped 52.82 points, or 0.48 percent, at 11,171.31. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 6.42 points, or 0.54 percent, at 1,189.68. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 14.44 points, or 0.58 percent, at 2,521.85.
