NEW YORK, Nov 8 (Reuters) - U.S. stock indexes fell at the open on Monday as a rise in the U.S. dollar weighed on commodity prices and natural resource stocks.
The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 48.97 points, or 0.43 percent, to 11,395.11. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 4.71 points, or 0.38 percent, to 1,221.14. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 7.87 points, or 0.31 percent, to 2,571.11.
