NEW YORK, Nov 30 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell in a choppy session on Tuesday, but showed resilience in the face of Europe's debt crisis, recovering some of their losses on more encouraging signs from the U.S. economy.
* The Dow Jones industrial average fell 46.47 points, or 0.42 percent, to end unofficially at 11,006.02. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index shed 7.21 points, or 0.61 percent, to finish unofficially at 1,180.55. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 26.99 points, or 1.07 percent, to close unofficially at 2,498.23.
For November, the Dow fell 1 percent, while the S&P 500 slipped 0.2 percent and the Nasdaq declined 0.4 percent. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Jan Paschal)
