NEW YORK, Nov 12 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell on Friday, with major indexes falling more than 1 percent in midday trade, hit by commodity prices that were pressured by expectations of an interest rate hike in China.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 109.29 points, or 0.97 percent, at 11,173.81. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 16.55 points, or 1.36 percent, at 1,196.99.
