NEW YORK, Oct 25 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks extended gains on Monday, with all three major indexes rising about 1 percent, after existing home sales rose more than expected in September.
The Dow Jones industrial average jumped 102.40 points, or 0.92 percent, at 11,234.96. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 11.36 points, or 0.96 percent, at 1,194.44. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 23.64 points, or 0.95 percent, at 2,503.03.
