NEW YORK, Nov 4 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks rose on Thursday, with the S&P 500 hitting its highest level in more than two years a day after the Federal Reserve unveiled a plan to boost the economy.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 219.64 points, or 1.96 percent, at 11,434.77. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 23.07 points, or 1.93 percent, at 1,221.03. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 37.07 points, or 1.46 percent, at 2,577.34.
