NEW YORK, Nov 19 (Reuters) - The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 turned positive on Friday, helped by materials and semiconductor shares, although gains were limited by concerns that monetary tightening in China could slow growth.
The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 4.01 points, or 0.04 percent, to 11,177.22. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained 0.72 points, or 0.06 percent, to 1,197.41. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 3.04 points, or 0.12 percent, to 2,517.44.
