NEW YORK, Nov 16 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks extended losses on Tuesday, with the Dow briefly falling more than 1 percent on lingering worries over interest rates in China and debt problems in Ireland.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 92.41 points, or 0.82 percent, at 11,109.56. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 8.84 points, or 0.74 percent, at 1,188.91. The Nasdaq Composite Index dipped 17.31 points, or 0.69 percent, at 2,496.51.
