NEW YORK, Sept 13 (Reuters) - The Dow average briefly rose more than 1 percent on Monday following upbeat Chinese factory data and a deal on global bank rules that gives lenders more time before they must raise additional capital.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 99.75 points, or 0.95 percent, at 10,562.52. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 13.60 points, or 1.23 percent, at 1,123.15. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 35.95 points, or 1.60 percent, at 2,278.43. (Reporting by Caroline Valetkevitch; Editing by James Dalgleish)
