NEW YORK, Nov 30 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks cut losses and the Dow industrials turned positive on Tuesday, led by advances in Caterpillar Inc and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 5.71 points, or 0.05 percent, to 11,058.20. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index slipped 0.87 point, or 0.07 percent, to 1,186.89. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 16.14 points, or 0.64 percent, to 2,509.08.
