NEW YORK, Nov 12 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell on Friday, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq down 1 percent, as expectations of a China interest rate hike hit commodity prices and dragged energy and materials stocks lower.
The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 83.37 points, or 0.74 percent, to 11,199.73. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index dropped 12.10 points, or 1.00 percent, to 1,201.44. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 25.31 points, or 0.99 percent, to 2,530.21.
