MADRID, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Spanish olive oil producer SOS said on Thursday it was selling its rice division for 195 million euros ($260 million) to Spanish food company Ebro Foods.
If the deal is approved by SOS's creditors, Ebro will also subscribe 50 million euros of a capital hike SOS is carrying out, giving it a stake of around 10 percent in the company.
Traders said the price paid for the rice business was in line with market expectations.
Trading in the shares of Ebro and SOS was suspended ahead of the announcement. (Reporting by Judy MacInnes; Editing by Dan Lalor) ($1 = 0.7510 euro)
