Investing.com – U.K. stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Automobiles & Parts, Software & Computer Services and Food Producers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in London, the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 gained 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 were GKN PLC (LON:GKN), which rose 5.14% or 15.60 points to trade at 319.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Micro Focus International PLC (LON:MCRO) added 2.19% or 54.00 points to end at 2521.00 and Associated British Foods PLC (LON:ABF) was up 1.38% or 46.00 points to 3371.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mediclinic International PLC (LON:MDCM), which fell 2.65% or 17.00 points to trade at 623.50 at the close. Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC (LON:HIK) declined 2.34% or 28.00 points to end at 1170.00 and RSA Insurance Group PLC (LON:RSA) was down 1.72% or 11.00 points to 630.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the London Stock Exchange by 1056 to 865 and 459 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.28% or 3.53 to $1284.03 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.86 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.54% or 0.31 to trade at $57.44 a barrel.
GBP/USD was up 0.12% to 1.3202, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8908.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 93.69.
