Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) is once again offering free vehicles through its referral program, encouraging individuals to persuade others to experience a test drive or make a purchase of one of the company's automobiles or energy products.

Tesla introduced the opportunity for individuals to potentially win a Model 3 Performance for just 1,000 credits, and owners are allowed to submit as many entries as they would like.

Additionally, Tesla specified on its website that if a referral successfully receives a vehicle delivery by September 30, they will automatically be entered into the Model 3 Performance Sweepstakes.

Over the years, the referral program has remained a key element of Tesla's strategy to expand its owner base. Following a brief hiatus, it was reinstated in November 2022, with Tesla introducing additional methods to earn points, including referrals related to test drives.

Furthermore, Tesla is enhancing its referral program by introducing fresh incentives and potential prizes. A move designed to boost the likelihood of individuals sharing their referral codes in an effort to amass points, which can then be used to enter giveaways for items such as a brand-new vehicle.

Tesla has also made adjustments to its existing Cybertruck raffle within the referral program. Previously, participants could purchase an entry for the free Cybertruck raffle with 500 points. However, the threshold has been raised to 1,000 points. If you win, you will be awarded “one of the first Cybertruck VINs off the line — no reservation needed, free of charge.”

Shares of TSLA are up 0.07% in mid-day trading on Wednesday.
