Tesla's (NASDAQ:TSLA) Model X Plaid all-wheel drive in the United States now stands at $94,990, up from $89,990 according to the electric vehicle maker's website on Thursday.
The price adjustment follows CEO Elon Musk's recent remarks about maintaining demand through price reductions, despite expressing concerns about potential affordability issues due to increasing interest rates.
Musk noted that even with the price cuts, the cost of the popular Model Y SUV remained nearly the same for consumers due to elevated financing expenses.
Tesla lowered prices for its U.S. Model 3 and Model Y vehicles earlier this month.
Shares of TSLA are down 0.82% in pre-market trading Friday morning.
