By Greg Morcroft - On Wednesday Tesla Motors Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA), the all-electric vehicle maker and current Wall Street darling, unveiled long-awaited plans for its new battery factory that it said will cut its manufacturing costs.
Dubbed "The Gigafactory" by Tesla, the company said that by 2020 the single plant will produce more lithium ion batteries than all manufacturing facilities in the world made in 2013.
