Investing.com - Hong Kong-listed tech giant Tencent Holdings (HK:0700) is planning to roll out the “Call of Duty Mobile” to the U.S., Europe and Latin American markets, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday.

Call of Duty is a first-person shooter title and is one of the best-selling game franchises of all time, Bloomberg said. Tencent’s mobile version is currently in beta-testing and does not have a set-date for a full public roll-out.

The article added that Tencent is adapting popular titles for mobile and exporting them to overseas amid slowing growth and regulatory clampdowns in China.

It was reported previously that the Chinese government is banning violent content online and restricted screen time for youngsters.

Citing Vincent Gao, the overseas marketing director for the Tencent’s Timi Studio Group, the article said the company will hire more developers abroad to tap the overseas market.

“We’ve accumulated a lot of experience from developing mobile games in the past, and we think we have a pretty good chance of exporting our know-how,” Gao said in an interview. “In the future, we plan to introduce more categories with top-tier game developers.”
