Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 2.51% or 13.5 points to trade at 551.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 2.03% or 3.10 points to end at 156.10 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 0.88% or 1.3 points to 149.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which fell 10.79% or 28.4 points to trade at 234.8 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 2.24% or 4.4 points to end at 192.4 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was down 2.04% or 2.20 points to 105.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 237 to 186 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.95% or 0.54 to $57.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.96% or 0.59 to hit $62.60 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.54% or 6.30 to trade at $1163.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 1.20% to 9.3756, while USD/SEK rose 0.88% to 8.4558.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 96.25.
