Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 2.86% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which rose 2.15% or 1.62 points to trade at 76.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) fell 0.28% or 1.0 points to end at 358.0 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 1.06% or 0.44 points to 41.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 6.10% or 12.30 points to trade at 189.50 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 6.09% or 47.2 points to end at 727.4 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was down 5.57% or 24.5 points to 415.4.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 532 to 119 and 37 ended unchanged.
Shares in Boliden AB (ST:BOL) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.10% or 12.30 to 189.50.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.67% or 1.94 to $50.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.74% or 2.30 to hit $59.26 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 3.00 to trade at $1245.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.55% to 10.2427, while USD/SEK rose 0.26% to 9.0041.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 96.745.
