Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 2.74% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 0.39% or 3.3 points to trade at 852.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 0.05% or 0.2 points to end at 379.7 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 0.55% or 0.24 points to 43.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb), which fell 4.92% or 13.2 points to trade at 255.0 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 4.66% or 32.6 points to end at 666.4 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was down 4.63% or 13.9 points to 286.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 459 to 181 and 42 ended unchanged.
Shares in AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) rose to all time highs; up 0.39% or 3.3 to 852.1.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.30% or 1.78 to $55.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.46% or 1.49 to hit $61.99 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.54% or 22.05 to trade at $1454.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.11% to 10.7122, while USD/SEK fell 0.13% to 9.6428.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 97.868.
