Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 2.16% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 1.34% or 9.8 points to trade at 743.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 0.66% or 3.0 points to end at 457.0 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 0.04% or 0.05 points to 129.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb), which fell 4.85% or 12.1 points to trade at 237.3 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) declined 4.64% or 7.45 points to end at 153.00 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was down 4.03% or 11.1 points to 264.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 464 to 174 and 51 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 5.80% or 3.56 to $57.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 4.89% or 3.47 to hit $67.52 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 10.65 to trade at $1284.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.23% to 10.7570, while USD/SEK fell 0.06% to 9.6177.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 97.708.
