Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 2.14% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE), which fell 0.16% or 0.10 points to trade at 60.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) fell 0.42% or 1.20 points to end at 282.40 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was down 0.58% or 0.50 points to 85.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb), which fell 4.31% or 11.0 points to trade at 244.0 at the close. Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) declined 4.16% or 11.9 points to end at 274.2 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was down 4.03% or 18.4 points to 438.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 538 to 108 and 43 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) fell to 5-year lows; losing 0.16% or 0.10 to 60.81. Shares in Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) fell to 5-year lows; falling 0.58% or 0.50 to 85.86.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.74% or 0.97 to $54.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.31% or 2.05 to hit $59.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.35% or 19.70 to trade at $1477.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.57% to 10.7619, while USD/SEK fell 0.29% to 9.6072.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 97.292.
