Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.99%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which rose 3.14% or 5.0 points to trade at 165.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 1.47% or 1.90 points to end at 130.90 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 1.11% or 2.4 points to 218.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which fell 11.48% or 10.38 points to trade at 80.00 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) declined 10.34% or 21.2 points to end at 183.9 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was down 7.07% or 10.2 points to 134.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 405 to 230 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.34% or 21.2 to 183.9. Shares in ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) rose to all time highs; rising 1.11% or 2.4 to 218.5.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.49% or 0.86 to $56.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.18% or 0.76 to hit $63.59 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.02% or 14.45 to trade at $1425.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 10.5121, while USD/SEK fell 0.27% to 9.3628.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.838.
