Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.90%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 0.98% or 1.3 points to trade at 133.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) fell 0.15% or 0.06 points to end at 40.34 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.21% or 1.5 points to 730.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 3.86% or 9.70 points to trade at 241.30 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 3.57% or 3.0 points to end at 80.0 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was down 3.23% or 4.70 points to 141.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 419 to 227 and 52 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.24% or 0.77 to $61.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.87% or 1.33 to hit $69.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1284.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.28% to 10.7356, while USD/SEK rose 0.50% to 9.6090.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 97.463.
