Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.84% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to trade at 132.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) fell 0.15% or 0.15 points to end at 101.00 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was down 0.39% or 1.10 points to 279.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 3.78% or 9.00 points to trade at 229.20 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 3.64% or 1.19 points to end at 31.52 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was down 3.60% or 2.9 points to 77.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 463 to 180 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.10% or 0.68 to $60.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.72% or 0.51 to hit $70.11 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.03% or 13.30 to trade at $1300.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.20% to 10.8226, while USD/SEK rose 0.22% to 9.6325.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 97.093.
