Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.82%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 0.28% or 1.0 points to trade at 359.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 0.22% or 0.25 points to end at 112.50 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was down 0.33% or 0.5 points to 162.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which fell 3.84% or 6.5 points to trade at 162.8 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 3.74% or 7.8 points to end at 200.7 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was down 3.35% or 4.23 points to 121.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 451 to 166 and 53 ended unchanged.
Shares in ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.84% or 6.5 to 162.8. Shares in Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.35% or 4.23 to 121.92.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.23% or 0.12 to $53.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.19% or 0.12 to hit $62.20 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1242.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.36% to 10.1916, while USD/SEK fell 0.40% to 8.9814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 96.955.
