Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.81% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA), which rose 2.06% or 0.85 points to trade at 42.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 1.66% or 1.80 points to end at 110.40 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was up 1.04% or 1.12 points to 108.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which fell 5.69% or 5.6 points to trade at 92.4 at the close. Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) declined 5.53% or 13.7 points to end at 234.0 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was down 5.39% or 8.30 points to 145.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 463 to 174 and 45 ended unchanged.
Shares in Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.53% or 13.7 to 234.0.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.32% or 1.74 to $73.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.96% or 1.67 to hit $83.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1192.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.36% to 10.5001, while USD/SEK fell 0.06% to 9.0991.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 95.08.
