Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.73% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 1.69% or 12.2 points to trade at 735.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) added 0.88% or 1.8 points to end at 207.1 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) was up 0.60% or 1.2 points to 192.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 4.34% or 1.50 points to trade at 33.07 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 4.20% or 8.59 points to end at 195.96 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was down 3.99% or 16.1 points to 387.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 589 to 77 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.34% or 1.50 to 33.07.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 4.95% or 2.83 to $54.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 4.93% or 3.29 to hit $63.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.60 to trade at $1223.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.15% to 10.3262, while USD/SEK rose 0.68% to 9.0640.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 96.51.
