Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.64% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 4.35% or 20.1 points to trade at 482.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 0.25% or 0.70 points to end at 278.00 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 0.15% or 0.1 points to 80.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb), which fell 3.81% or 16.9 points to trade at 426.8 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 3.17% or 7.70 points to end at 235.50 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 3.17% or 1.06 points to 32.36.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 460 to 179 and 53 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.74% or 0.46 to $61.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.26% or 0.18 to hit $70.19 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.25 to trade at $1285.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.52% to 10.8201, while USD/SEK rose 0.21% to 9.6382.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 97.157.
