Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 0.92% or 2.30 points to trade at 252.50 at the close. Meanwhile, ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) added 0.56% or 1.1 points to end at 189.1 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 0.13% or 0.15 points to 114.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which fell 5.12% or 7.60 points to trade at 140.70 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) declined 3.34% or 6.5 points to end at 189.4 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was down 3.08% or 4.8 points to 149.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 383 to 230 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) rose to all time highs; rising 0.92% or 2.30 to 252.50.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.87% or 2.09 to $51.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.08% or 1.93 to hit $60.76 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1315.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.35% to 10.4915, while USD/SEK rose 0.40% to 9.2398.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 96.227.
