Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.17% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which rose 1.55% or 2.6 points to trade at 170.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) fell 0.13% or 0.2 points to end at 153.5 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was down 0.29% or 3.0 points to 1037.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 3.34% or 7.20 points to trade at 208.20 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 2.72% or 2.2 points to end at 78.6 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was down 2.18% or 3.30 points to 148.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 360 to 254 and 52 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.02% or 1.15 to $57.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.93% or 0.58 to hit $63.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 8.97 to trade at $1290.67 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.23% to 9.8721, while USD/SEK fell 0.64% to 8.3750.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 93.44.
