Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 2.31% or 4.90 points to trade at 217.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 1.38% or 4.30 points to end at 315.70 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 0.80% or 0.26 points to 32.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which fell 6.32% or 0.42 points to trade at 6.21 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 5.59% or 17.40 points to end at 293.60 and Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) was down 3.50% or 1.04 points to 28.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 591 to 189 and 83 ended unchanged.
Shares in Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) rose to 3-years highs; up 1.38% or 4.30 to 315.70. Shares in Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.80% or 0.26 to 32.62.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 4.00% or 2.94 to $70.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 4.49% or 3.48 to hit $74.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 7.10 to trade at $2,520.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.32% to 11.38, while USD/SEK rose 0.58% to 10.31.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 101.74.
