Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which rose 0.75% or 1.8 points to trade at 240.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) added 0.21% or 0.7 points to end at 340.1 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 0.20% or 0.5 points to 254.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 4.92% or 2.13 points to trade at 41.15 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 3.62% or 8.0 points to end at 213.0 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was down 3.56% or 8.8 points to 238.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 300 to 129 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.57% or 0.80 to $50.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.83% or 0.47 to hit $56.56 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.07% or 11.80 to trade at $1091.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.40% to 9.3865, while USD/SEK rose 0.96% to 8.6312.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 97.91.
