Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 0.75% or 1.70 points to trade at 228.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) added 0.73% or 0.7 points to end at 98.8 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 0.68% or 3.3 points to 491.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which fell 2.94% or 4.47 points to trade at 147.78 at the close. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) declined 2.70% or 6.3 points to end at 226.9 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was down 2.69% or 6.8 points to 245.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 362 to 245 and 70 ended unchanged.
Shares in Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.68% or 3.3 to 491.6.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.86% or 1.26 to $68.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.30% or 0.94 to hit $73.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 4.80 to trade at $1222.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.33% to 10.3026, while USD/SEK rose 0.70% to 8.8687.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 94.78.
