Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 1.95% or 5.50 points to trade at 287.50 at the close. Meanwhile, ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) added 1.87% or 3.3 points to end at 179.6 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) was up 0.14% or 0.2 points to 139.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which fell 2.24% or 3.45 points to trade at 150.60 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 2.15% or 8.1 points to end at 368.3 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was down 1.93% or 3.1 points to 159.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 391 to 241 and 67 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.41% or 1.37 to $58.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.00% or 1.27 to hit $64.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.83% or 11.75 to trade at $1432.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.87% to 10.6615, while USD/SEK rose 0.74% to 9.5576.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 97.808.
