Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 1.64% or 2.00 points to trade at 124.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 0.98% or 4.4 points to end at 453.6 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 0.89% or 0.36 points to 40.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 3.14% or 7.95 points to trade at 245.30 at the close. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) declined 3.14% or 7.2 points to end at 221.9 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was down 2.93% or 14.2 points to 469.9.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 435 to 204 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.64% or 2.00 to 124.30.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.71% or 0.40 to $56.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.48% or 0.32 to hit $66.31 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.95 to trade at $1286.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.65% to 10.5801, while USD/SEK rose 1.44% to 9.4327.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 97.420.
