Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 0.90% or 0.36 points to trade at 40.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 0.17% or 0.40 points to end at 236.30 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to 213.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 2.36% or 5.70 points to trade at 236.00 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 2.11% or 2.2 points to end at 104.5 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was down 2.06% or 4.2 points to 199.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 435 to 188 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Boliden AB (ST:BOL) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.36% or 5.70 to 236.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.46% or 0.32 to $70.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.36% or 0.28 to hit $78.43 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.78% or 9.40 to trade at $1197.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.30% to 10.5379, while USD/SEK rose 0.16% to 9.1107.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 95.48.
