Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 2.39% or 2.1 points to trade at 89.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.26% or 2.5 points to end at 197.3 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was up 0.58% or 2.5 points to 436.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 4.06% or 15.8 points to trade at 373.8 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) declined 2.08% or 4.1 points to end at 192.7 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 2.04% or 0.69 points to 33.17.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 370 to 262 and 41 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.32% or 0.72 to $53.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.12% or 0.71 to hit $62.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1228.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.16% to 10.3117, while USD/SEK fell 0.07% to 9.0400.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.382.
