Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.79% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb), which rose 0.62% or 2.7 points to trade at 440.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 0.53% or 3.4 points to end at 647.0 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 0.40% or 1.5 points to 378.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which fell 2.52% or 4.4 points to trade at 170.4 at the close. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) declined 2.19% or 3.9 points to end at 171.9 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was down 1.86% or 5.1 points to 269.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 338 to 290 and 67 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.52% or 4.4 to 170.4.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.99% or 0.54 to $54.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.50% or 0.30 to hit $59.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.95 to trade at $1482.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.22% to 10.7325, while USD/SEK fell 0.14% to 9.5882.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 97.463.
