Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 3.16% or 1.53 points to trade at 49.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 1.02% or 2.90 points to end at 287.70 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 0.49% or 1.3 points to 267.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which fell 2.34% or 5.60 points to trade at 234.20 at the close. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.91% or 3.5 points to end at 177.3 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was down 1.56% or 1.60 points to 100.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 386 to 245 and 40 ended unchanged.
Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.16% or 1.53 to 49.98.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.65% or 0.42 to $64.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $69.91 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.17% or 15.60 to trade at $1352.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.10% to 9.8386, while USD/SEK fell 0.83% to 7.9398.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.83% at 89.13.
