Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 0.90% or 2.50 points to trade at 280.30 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 0.74% or 0.33 points to end at 44.73 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 0.36% or 0.70 points to 193.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which fell 2.91% or 4.65 points to trade at 155.35 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.79% or 0.29 points to end at 15.94 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was down 1.30% or 1.5 points to 113.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 332 to 273 and 70 ended unchanged.
Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.74% or 0.33 to 44.73. Shares in Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.79% or 0.29 to 15.94.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.70% or 0.42 to $59.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.83% or 0.55 to hit $65.91 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.40 to trade at $1290.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.59% to 9.8404, while USD/SEK fell 0.93% to 8.2692.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 92.59.
