Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb), which rose 2.13% or 9.8 points to trade at 469.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 0.56% or 0.75 points to end at 135.25 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 0.23% or 1.8 points to 775.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 4.31% or 9.95 points to trade at 221.05 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 3.38% or 1.06 points to end at 30.32 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was down 2.54% or 4.20 points to 161.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 396 to 230 and 71 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.26% or 0.15 to $57.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $64.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1400.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.07% to 10.6139, while USD/SEK rose 0.09% to 9.4679.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 97.088.
