Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 2.10% or 8.1 points to trade at 393.1 at the close. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 2.02% or 17.8 points to end at 900.7 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 1.59% or 2.20 points to 140.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which fell 2.66% or 3.4 points to trade at 122.8 at the close. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) declined 1.94% or 1.64 points to end at 82.72 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 1.80% or 3.90 points to 213.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 349 to 285 and 56 ended unchanged.
Shares in AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) rose to all time highs; rising 2.02% or 17.8 to 900.7. Shares in Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.59% or 2.20 to 140.65.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.58% or 0.32 to $54.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.03% or 0.61 to hit $58.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 8.70 to trade at $1538.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.12% to 10.7800, while USD/SEK rose 0.08% to 9.8259.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 98.947.
